Dr. Çiğdem Lüle, PhD, FGA, GIA GG, DGA

Dr. Çiğdem Lüle is a mineralogist and gemologist specializing in independent appraisals and litigation support for gems, minerals, and meteorites. A pioneer in archaeogemology, she has spent decades researching ancient gemstones and their origins. Her credentials include FGA, GIA GG, and a PhD in Mineralogy. She serves as President of AGA and Executive Director of AIJV and is the recipient of the Antonio C. Bonanno Award for Excellence in Gemology and the Catriona McInnes Medal.

George Spyromilios CDG

George Spyromilios CDG

George Spyromilios CDG is the Founder and Head Gemmologist of the Independent Gemmological Laboratory (IGLcert Athens), one of Greece's leading authorities on the certification and valuation of diamonds, coloured gemstones and jewellery.

A respected educator and author, George has written several gemmological books in Greek, including Introduction to the World of Diamonds and Introduction to the World of Coloured Stones. He is currently developing an exciting new project—a children's book introducing the fascinating world of gemstones. As part of this initiative, he is also creating interactive gemstone workshops and educational games for children, which will be hosted in museums across Greece.

In addition to his work in gemmology, George serves as President of the Athens Jewellery Association and Head of Education for the Hellenic Jewellery Federation, where he plays a key role in advancing education and professional standards within the jewellery industry.

Charlotte Rose

Charlotte Rose

Charlotte Rose made history as the first female Vice President of the London Diamond Bourse. She is an auctioneer, expert valuer, and third-generation diamond and jewellery specialist. She is founder of Furlong Auction House, co-founder of Sell Diamond and a member of the World Diamond Council, with expertise spanning diamonds, valuation, auctions, and the secondary jewellery market. 

Charlotte is a passionate advocate for transparency and education within the trade, and regularly speaks on diamond markets, valuation trends, and the evolving luxury jewellery sector.

Adrian Hailwood

Adrian Hailwood SJVA

A Founder Specialist Member of the JVA, Adrian has worked in the watch industry since 1992, with experience in luxury retail and auctions. 

Having taught watch authentication for over 10 years, Adrian founded The Watch Scholar in 2024, a company dedicated to delivering watch education for the Secondary Watch Market and associated industries. 

Adrian is a Specialist Watch Valuer and Authenticator; he writes on watch culture and represents the National Association of Jewellers on the BSI’s Jewellery and Horology committee, acting as Head of Delegation to the ISO on matters relating to watches.

Kerry Gregory

Kerry Gregory FGA, DGA, EG, GIA GG

Kerry lives and breathes gemmology—it’s her career, passion, and favourite pastime. Renowned for her fast-paced, incredibly humorous presentations and highly practical workshops, she has delivered acclaimed programmes for major global bodies, including Gem-A and the NAJ. 

Kerry has a rare talent for breaking down complex concepts into actionable trade skills. Whether teaching, writing for international publications, or leading hands-on sessions, her focus is always on real-world gemmological expertise

Gareth Brown FGA, DGA, FJVA is an award-winning independent jewellery and watch valuer. With nearly 30 years of experience in the jewellery industry, he is widely recognised for his expertise. Gareth was named JVA Valuer of the Year in 2023 and recently completed a master’s degree in Economic Crime, focusing his dissertation on the risks of synthetic diamonds as a vehicle for fraud. Combining technical expertise with real-world insight, Gareth’s presentations explore the evolving world of watch & jewellery valuation, emerging fraud risks, and the vital role of independent professional valuers.
