After a chance meeting in 2002 I joined the jewellery trade taking up a post with Independent Jewellers ‘Cellini’ in Cambridge. This post introduced me to the wonderful world of Jewellery, Gemstones & Valuing. I was so fascinated by the gemstones and how they formed deep in the Earth and the skill of those that can take a piece of precious metal and turn it into an item of beauty that I decided to learn more and become a fully qualified jewellery valuer.

I have attained the following qualifications FGA (Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain), DGA (Diamond Member of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain), PJ (Dip) Professional Jewellers Diploma. I have successfully completed the Gem-A Advanced Diamond Grading course and the GIA Pearl Grading course. In 2012 I was selected as one of the four pilot students for the new Certificate of Appraisal Theory (CAT) programme successfully passing the examination later that year. I attained my MIRV in 2013 upgrading to FIRV in 2015 before joining the Jewellery Valuers Association and becoming a FJVA in 2020.  

Cellini is an independent company of designers, makers and retailers of fine quality jewellery complete with its own workshops. Cellini provides the following valuation services; Valuations for -  Insurances purposes, Open Market Value for the Purpose of Inheritance Tax Assessment (Probate), Division of Assets (Family Division / Divorce Settlement), Sale by Private Treaty, Cash Liquidation & Immediate Sale or Loan/Security.
